1-16-12 E-mail!
(Editor's Note: Missionary rules prohibit listening to pop music, watching TV, going to movies, etc. Enjoy...)
Well hello everyone!
We're even busier now on P-day! Woo! So yeah, I'mma answer my parents questions and send you guys some pics and call it good =).
So yeah for those of you that don't know, I've been transferred =(. So I had to leave my most dearly beloved Coron Branch and have been thrust into the mission office. This transfer I'm being trained to take over the finances for the entire mission next transfer...ahhh! So yeah, definitely way different assignment.. But it's all good. I'm in a ward now so that's kinda cool. It was way diff than Coron, and it was weeeeirdd! A white guy is our elders quorum president! haha So yeah, I'm still new to the office so we'll see how things go. This week is when I'll really start doing stuff like with the finances and what not cuz last week was definitely just super busy.
So yeah, I've had two experiences in the last week that makes me think I cannot handle being in the office. (oh and PS, I'mma get FAT! But I just ate two Krispy Kreame donuts =D =D =D). So first experience: Last night. We had to order pizza cuz we had two zones coming in for interviews today so we had to order pizza for them. And yeah, I got to call Pizza Hut and order it....Yeah, that didn't go so hot. The simple phone call to order pizza was stressful! So yeah. But it all worked out today, so that's good.
Experience two: Friday. So the past week was transfer week which is reallyyyyy hectic. So on Friday the office staff and President and his wife usually go to a nice-ish restaurant and eat. So yeah, we went to Texas Roadhouse (which was delicious!) haha. So this is when I realized I don't know how well I'mma handle this cuz I'm sittin there right on the right of President and the radio is playing AWESOME music! I'm talkin, I heard Sara Bareilles, Rollin in the Deep, Buzzin... like the goods! It was soooo hard not to sing! haha And then! There was a basketball game up there on the tv right beside us....ugh! And president is sittin right to my left and I'm like ahhh! This is hard! hahaha So yeah, that's when I realized I better get outta here quick! haha
So my dad asked how long we were in the office working. So the theory is that we work like 11 to 3ish a day and then go out and do missionary work and then we're just doing missionary work on Saturday and Sunday, but with how hectic things are I guess the "ideal plan" only goes down every so often.
So my new companions are Elder Stirland, the current Finance Sec, and Elder Spencer, the supplies sec. Elder Stirland has about six months left on his mission and Elder Spencer is about ten months in. I'm 95% sure they're both from Utah. Elder Stirland is from Hurricane, Utah and it's Elder Spencer I'm not too sure on. But they're both awesome. I've been here a week and am def diggin the companionship.
Oh yeah! I get to get my license to drive in the Philippines this week! Woooo! I'm like ridiculously pumped..haha I'm psyched to drive, Star (Elder Stirland) and Elder Spencer hate driving cuz traffic is ridiculous, but you guys know me, I loveee it! So bring it on Manila. So next week I'll send a pic of me and my new ride, you gotta check it. So all in all, I missssssssssssssssssssssss Coron, but I'm happy where ever I go. I'm havin good 'ol times. And we're plannin on doin work in the office! And I mean missionary work! We're goin hit it hard. So it'll be good.
So yeah, that's my life. Rockin it.

01-01-12 E-mail!
How's it going everyone?? Happy New Year! Pretty crazy huh?? 2012 now! Isn't this the last year of the world or somethin? I've forgotten haha
We had another great week here in Coron! Holidays out here are awesome! Everyone's diggin it.
This email is going to be lame.....but there's pictures! So be happy. haha
This week we talked a lot to the people we're teaching about New Year Resolutions and improving this upcoming year. It was awesome to have these people share their lives and experiences with us. I loveee Brother Jucaban! We had, I think three really spiritual lessons with him and his family this week. First we talked about his Resolutions and they were awesome! He said first, starting on Jan 1, he's done smoking (he smokes just a couple cigarettes a day). Second, because he'll be done with cigarettes, he wants to be baptized! And then three, he's starting to look for a more regular job so he will for sure be able to make it church everyday Sunday. He rocks!! And Aurora Albuera, a recent convert, has already read the entire Book of Mormon and is making her way through the index haha I heart these people! Sister Lagrosa chose to come to church on Sunday instead of going out to a beach with some friends that she works with. All these people are so awesome!
But of course with the holidays, this week was a lot of fun at the same time. haha They had a tricycle decorating contest here that we were to see because President decided to cancel the training we were supposed to attend to help him with.
And then New Years was pretty legit too. We were confined to our apartment at 6 that night cuz it's pretty crazy in the Philippines on New Years but not as bad here as it is in the city. So yeah. So with it being New Years I decided to go big and buy ice cream and Chips Ahoy cookies! haha And we rocked Linda Rowberry's I Know That My Redeemer Lives (the new apartment favorite song, it's playing alllll the time haha) And being the good elders we are, we read our scriptures for most of the night, but didn't exactly go to sleep at 10:30...becuase, One, it's so noisy with everyone doing fireworks alllll night that it's impossible. So we stayed up, watched some fireworks down at the Boardwalk from our apartment. Then it's like Filipino tradition to feast at like 1am that morning. So our Branch President that lives below us, told us to come down and we ate! It was good stuff! haha And it was noisy! haha
So yeah, that's kinda my week, sorry it's pretty lame! But it'll get better! This may be my last email from Coron! Transfer day is Jan 11! Ahhh! Don't worry I'll stay =D haha we'll see. Well I'm out!
Happy New Year!

I put my camera on the ground and set the shutter speed to like 15 seconds so you can actually see the stars pretty decently for a picture on a digital camera. Fireworks! Eating late on New Years with President! New Years lunch at the Duran's
